It is with profound shock and tremendous sadness that I share the sudden and unexpected passing overnight of our dear colleague and friend, Retired Fire Marshal Dave Cherrone.
Dave retired from Clay Fire in May 2022 after dedicating more than 50 years of his life to serving our community, fully embodying the Clay Fire mission, “To Help Others.” His unwavering dedication, steady leadership, and genuine kindness touched countless lives. The legacy he leaves within Clay Fire, throughout our community, and across the fire service will never be forgotten.
At this time, arrangements for Retired Fire Marshal Cherrone’s services have not yet been finalized.
