Volunteer, PCAIN / The Villages
From a young age, I have been driven by a desire to help others. After high school, I served several years in the military as a medic with an additional skill identifier in aviation medicine. Following my service, I attended the University of Illinois (UIC), where I majored in Criminology, Law, and Justice.
While at UIC, I joined Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. My involvement with the Sigma Gamma Rho Swim1922 and USA Swimming initiative—which addresses the critical issue of drowning in the United States—significantly strengthened my commitment to water safety.
Currently, I am a Red Cross Water Safety Ambassador and a licensed substitute teacher with a K-12 endorsement. As a dedicated water safety advocate, I am actively campaigning for a standardized water safety curriculum to be taught in K-12 schools nationwide.
