Front-Line Divisional Supervisor, CN Railroad Police
Tyler McKinney is an eight-year law enforcement professional with a diverse operational and community‑focused background. He previously served as a Porter County Sheriff’s Deputy, where he worked as a K9 handler, SWAT team operator, School Resource Officer, and Coordinator of the Bike Patrol Unit. Tyler currently serves as a Special Agent and Community Resource Officer, supporting communities across Indiana and Illinois. In this role, he works directly with local leaders, schools, and law enforcement partners to strengthen safety initiatives and build trust throughout the region. In 2024, Tyler became an Operation Lifesaver instructor and RISC instructor, educating audiences ranging from youth to first responders on railroad safety and emergency response procedures. Tyler’s dedication to public safety, community engagement, and professional leadership has made him a trusted and respected voice within the communities he serves.
