Executive Director, Indiana Operation Lifesaver
Jessica Feder is the Executive Director of Indiana Operation Lifesaver, a nonprofit
public safety education and awareness organization dedicated to reducing collisions,
fatalities and injuries at highway-rail crossings and trespassing on or near railroad
tracks. Jessica a member of the Operation Lifesaver National Advisory Council the
Operation Lifesaver National Board of Directors and serves as the Federal Railroad
Administration Region 4 Representative. Ms. Feder is responsible for the day-to-day
operations of Indiana Operation Lifesaver as well as volunteer management, fiscal
oversight, public relations, and training. Jessica graduated from the University of
Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and went on to receive her master’s
degree from Indiana University and Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville
Brandeis School of Law. Jessica also provides legal counsel to shortline railroads,
chairs the county election board, and is a member of the United Way Board of Directors.
Free time activities include traveling with her husband Kevin, who is the Director of
Safety and Environmental for Force Construction in Columbus, Indiana and time on the
road with their 12-year-old son, Hayes, at travel baseball games.
