City of Chicago has a extensive mobile food truck ordinance and license requirement which involves the CFD.  Also in the 2021 International Fire Code there is a new Section 319 (to us in IN.) which addresses mobile food trucks.  However, I am pretty sure that Section 319 will have to be amended to "per local ordinance" or deleted all together because a mobile food truck is not a Class 1 structure.

    Good Afternoon everyone,

Over the last year or two, we have seen a surge in food trucks coming into town and setting up in parking lots. My chief and I had are wondering if anyone has an ordinance that deals with food trucks. We want to make sure we due our duties to make everyone safe and have something in writing to help control the trucks just showing up and setting up wherever they want. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
