Okay, I had it backward when I read your original post. I just accepted it as the norm for being in Indiana when I went through the ICC testing.

I have the state's certification but want the ICC.

Indiana is not a ProBoard state and has failed to meet the IFSAC curriculum for Inspector 1&2; the ICC will not accept The Indiana certificates. So therefore, In order to get ICC credentials you have to pay for and take the inspector 1 test, wait for the results to post and then schedule the inspector 2 test.

Just a heads up for any of the new guys getting into the field of inspections and wanting your ICC Credentials.

Ron, my guess is that a majority of Indiana fire inspectors do not have the ICC certifications, me being one of them.

You might just have to challenge the state test if you want the Indiana certification.

If you already have the ICC certifications, what's the reason for you to retake them for Indiana purposes? I

    Good morning,

I have been in contact with ICC in regards to getting my ICC Fire Inspector 1 &2 certification  transferred, and unfortunately since Indiana is not a ProBoard State that cannot be done. In order for me to get my ICC certification I have to take both the Inspector 1 and 2 proctored test at an additional $219.00 each.
Has anyone else run into this issue?
